2025 Bight Before Christmas Festivities at Key West Historic Seaport Are Just Around The Corner!

The holiday season is just around the corner, and there’s no better place to experience it than at the Key West Historic Seaport! The waterfront will once again sparkle with thousands of twinkling lights, festive décor, and that unmistakable island cheer during the annual Lighting of the Harbor Walk of Lights on Wednesday, November 26 – music starts at 5pm and the lights go on at 6pm! The lighting of the Harbor Walk kicks off the variety of Bight Before Christmas celebrations starting from Thanksgiving and lasting all the way through the new year!

🌴 A Key West Holiday Tradition

Each year, the Key West Historic Seaport transforms into a dazzling display of holiday spirit, blending the island’s maritime charm with tropical warmth. Locals and visitors alike gather along the Harbor Walk for this beloved kickoff event — the moment when the seaport officially lights up for the holidays.

🎄 Two Trees, One Magical Night

The evening begins with the lighting of the Fishing Buoy Christmas Tree at Greene and Elizabeth Streets — a uniquely Key West creation built from colorful, hand-painted fishing buoys collected from local artists and mariners. Then, stroll down to the Lobster Trap Christmas Tree at the foot of Margaret Street for its own lighting ceremony, featuring more island-themed artistry and plenty of photo ops!
